Layalestan Rural District (Persian: دهستان ليالستان)[3] is in the Central District of Lahijan County, Gilan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Layalestan.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 12,993 in 3,893 households.[6] There were 13,885 inhabitants in 4,524 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 9,359 in 3,389 households. The most populous of its 20 villages was Bijar Boneh-ye Bala, with 2,136 people.[2]
